Dr. Jane Fox
My name is Jane M Fox, and I have had the pleasure of working at Foxmoor Veterinary Clinic for a little over a year. I have enjoyed the personal feel and community connection that this small clinic provides, despite being in a large suburb. My calling to be an animal doctor came early in life, for as long as I can remember I wanted to care for animals. As an avid reader, I devoured all the books in our local library about pets and science. I grew up in a suburb west of Chicago and went to Loyola University of Chicago to start the path of my dream. After undergraduate work where I received a bachelor’s in science, I was accepted to the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. It was a wonderful blend of experiences where I was able to put into practice my passion for animals as well as expand my knowledge of science and medicine. After graduating in 1993, I worked at a small animal hospital in the Danville area for 2 years and then had the opportunity to buy a practice. Practice ownership was another dream realized. I settled into a small town about 20 minutes west of Champaign and enjoyed bonding with clients and their pets for 23 years. Two years ago, after some personal life changes, I decided to sell my practice and move closer to Chicago. It has been so fulfilling to focus solely on veterinary medicine without the other business owner demands. I also have more time to enjoy my family and other passions such as reading, horseback riding and running.
